This April 22, we celebrate the 54th anniversary of Earth Day, is a date marked in the calendars by United Nations with the aim of raising the awareness of humanity about the problems of overpopulation, pollution and the importance of biodiversity conservation, it is also encouraged to carry out small actions that can cause positive changes in the way we treat the planet where we live. This is the opportunity to remind everyone of the importance of caring for our mother earth, every little gesture matters, adding the effort of all we can reduce our impact with nature.
In Tropidista, we recognize the urgency of preserving the Amazon forest known as "The Moon of the Planet," which is a valuable carbon tank. We are proud to operate in Peru, Ecuador and Colombia, countries that host this natural treasure. It is home to at least 10% of the known biodiversity, its rivers account for 15% of the total river discharge to the world's oceans and contains between 90 and 140 billion metric tons of carbon.

In 2023, we witnessed with regret how more than 380,600 hectares of this invaluable forest were deforested. Nature is our ally in the fight against the climate crisis, absorbing 54% of carbon dioxide emissions in the last decade
We want to use this day to recall the importance of developing a green awareness, reflecting on our actions and adopting a more conscious approach to the environment. We commit ourselves to redouble our efforts to advocate a greener and more sustainable future. Let's think about recycling, use noble and clean materials.
We seek sustainable solutions like Palmex for synthetic straw ceilings, avoiding deforestation with ceilings that can last up to 50 years. Join us in this important call to action. Together, we can make a difference and build a greener future for generations to come!
